Kazipet Swetharka Mula Ganapathi Temple is a Ganesha Temple located at Vishnuputi in Kazipet, Warangal, in Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh. Swetharka Mula Ganapathi means the deity crafted or self-originated on the roots of White Calotropis tree.
Shrine’s History
Kazipet Ganapathi Temple was constructed with the financial assistance of the devotee desires have been fulfilled by Lord Ganesha, Sri Inavolu Anantha Mallaiah Sharma Siddanthi, the pious devotee cum archaka was engaged in Ganapathy Seva since 1996. According to Mallaiah Sharma garu, Lord Ganesha in a celestial vision had instructed him to get his form from the roots of Tella Jilledu of the premises of Mada Prabhakar Rao of Nalgonda district. Sri Sharma garu found the Murthy of Ganesha in the roots of Thella Jilledu. On, 4th May 1999, amidst the Vedic chantings, the Lord was installed at present Temple after the Prana Prathishta Mahotsavam. And on, 17th March 2002, the temple was constructed in a small area. After purchasing some land, the construction of the big temple was completed on 1st January 2008.

Events Celebrated at This Shrine
Ganapathi Deeksha is the most famous ritual observed at the temple. Ardha Mandala Ganapathi Deeksha, Mandala Ganapathi Deeksha, Shodasha Deeksha and Ekadashi Deeksha are the four types of Deeksha dedicated to Lord Ganesha, based on the duration of the Deeksha. The duration of Mandala Deeksha is 41 days, Ardha Mandala Deeksha is for 21 days, Shodasha Deeksha is 16 days and the duration of the Ekadasha Deeksha is 11 days. All the above Deeksha begins in Shravana Masam and ends in Bhadrapada Masam after Vinayaka Chaturthi.
