Shrine’s History
This is an ancient and sacred temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. Constructed by Kakatiya rulers in the 12th century, Sri Meenakshi Agastheswara Swamy Temple is located at the confluence of the rivers Krishna and Musi, giving it great religious significance. This Temple is a unique temple of Lord Shiva which is renowned for the miracle of continuous water flow from the head of the Shivalinga in the sanctum. Even if water is removed, the original level of the water never changes.
