Ammavaru weighing tones and 10 feet height as a beautiful appearance. It is significant that even Muslims offers prayers, childless couples are blessed with Children, Unmarried gets married by fulfilling the vows. On Sundays, Tuesdays people arrive in large numbers and have darshan of the goddess.
Shrine’s History
This temple is built in 3.08 acres of land which includes Aniveti mandapa and Prakara mandapa. Goddess Kota Sattemma Ammavaru is a self manifested idol found in the farms of Sri Devulapalli Rama Murthy Sastry in the year 1936. The idol of main deity is of 10 feet high with abhayahasthas gives a pleasure appearance.
Legends Associated with This Shrine
Sri Devulapalli Rama Murthy Sastry was plugging his lands Goddess Sattemma Ammavaru was discovered by plugging weapon. Ammavaru appeared in his dream that night and asked him to construct a temple. With the help of villagers, he constructed the terraced building with compound walls. Later developed by prominent Arya Vysyas of Nidadavole.
