Lord Hanuman is the presiding deity in the divine form of Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy here. This temple is one of the Dakshina Mukha Anjaneya temples.
Shrine’s History
The temple is more than 100 years old. Lord Anjaneya facing south is believed as powerful God as per Agama Shasthra. While swamiji of Kurtalam was performing rituals for samprokshana in 19th century, there was heavy rain and the streets around the temple were flooded with water but at the same time there was no rain drop on the temple. This incident reflects the power of the Lord here.
