Attahas Shakti Peetha is the most famous Shakti Peetha where it is said that the Lower Lip? of Maa Sati fell and the idols are Devi Maa as Phullara or Fullara and Lord Shiva as Vishwesh Bhairav. Legends Associated with This Shrine
The apocalyptic laughter of Shiva is referred as Attahasa.Some scholars are of the view that this a future manifestation of Shiva. Shiva took the form of Attahasa in a mountain in the Himalayan Range.The sons of Shiva will also reside in the Attahasa mountain range in the 20th yuga.-Vayu Purana. When the twentieth cycle of a yuga occurs, then I shall be known by the name Attahasa, the loudly laughing one ? a form that people will adore. ? (Linga Purana 1.24.94 ? 95) According to mythology, when Mahadeva (Lord Shiva) danced around with Satis dead body cutting it to pieces, the lip fell at Fullara or Phullara. There is a big pond beside the temple. According to hearsay, Hanuman collected 108 blue lotuses from the pond when Sri Ramachandra required them for the worship of Goddess Durga.
Architectural Relevance of This Shrine
The temple of Bhairav is beside the temple of Maa Fullora or Phullara. A deity made of stone. There is a big pond beside the temple. There is no proper idol of the Goddess is consecrated. A stone of around 15 feet symbolises the lower lip of Shakti. Here, the deity is worshipped as Maa Phullora which means Blooming. Along with Her, Lord Bhairav, Her consort is worshipped as Lord Vishwesh. An idol of Mahadev sitting on a lotus is created adjacent to the temple complex. Though the temple doesn’t resembles grandeur, but the marble made edifice is aesthetically designed which is very pleasing for the onlookers. The overall ambience is the place is very divine and tranquil that attracts tourists to explore the temple along with its religious significance.

Events Celebrated at This Shrine
Devotees offer Anna Bhog to Maa Phullara. The offerings made to god are usually items grown from soil. Navaratri held in Ashwija masa (September- October) is celebrated in a big way. Devi is worshipped in different forms on all the nine days. Some people do not eat anything grown underground during Navaratri. Special ceremonies and pujas are carried out during Navaratri. Usually tourists visit the temple in December. In addition, Navratri fair is held in April for nine days. During this fair, a large number of devotees visit the place.
