Architectural Relevance of This Shrine
The main temple of the town is that of Maa Nandikeshwaris temple. She is believed to be present in a big mounted rock, deep with vermillion, in the shape of the back of a tortoise (kurma). She is adorned with a silver crown and three golden eyes

Special pujas and Yagnas are held on Buddha Poornima or Baishaki Poornima. Kalika Devi Puja is held on Amavasya. Besides, Navaratri is celebrated during Ashwija masa (September- October) with great fervour.
