Lord Shiva where the Mahashivratri celebrations are renowned and thronged by countless devotees every year.The most significant feature of this venue is that Sangameswara Swamy Temple is located at the confluence of three rivers -Navagali, Swarmamukhi and Vegavati – thus giving the name of Sangam or confluence to the village. The Sangam here is compared to the popular TriveniSangam of Allahabad and the place is visited by thousands of devotees, especially during Mahashivratri. SangameswaraSwamy Temple is in fact inside a cave near Amadalavalasa and hence exotic.
