Shrine’s History
Once a huge rock fell from a hill and stopped at a sloping edge instead of falling on nearby houses. The rock broke into two pieces and swamy emerged from that stone. On the next day, swamy appeared in the dream of a villager and asked to build a temple for him. Swamy Namalu and footprints have been discovered on that hill. The temple is said to be built by Jains. This temple faces west, as all the Hindu temples faces east direction.
