Sri Ram Temple at Sirisanagundla is one of the famous Rama Temple in Mahabubnagar district. The temple is 4 km away from Charagonga village on the kalwakurthy ? Devarakonda line. Located on a small hill in the forest, the temple shows the great skill of stone sculpture. The idol of the temple had been brought from Palvanur near Bhadrachalam as per the instructions are given by Sri Rama in the dreams.
Shrine’s History
The temple dates back to the 13th and 14th century. One can find the Dattatreya Ashram and Muthyalamma temples here that had been existing before the temple. The 24-acre forest of tamarind and neem trees gives the perfect location to the temple. The hill where the temple is located consists of stone slab running to 60 acres. Devotees celebrate Sri Rama Navami with pleasure and in a grand way here. The temple is ideally located at a distance of about 80 km from Hyderabad and Mahabubnagar and can be reached by devotees easily. Rathostavam will be performed after Sri Rama Navami Kalyanam. Inside Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple You can see Lord Ganesh & Ambika Devi. Ganda deepam is a special deepam in Hanuman Temple.
