The temple was built about more than 200 years ago. It is of similar architecture and design as that of the renowned Sri Perumbudur Temple in Tamil Nadu. The temple has the same architecture as a temple in Bhootapuri in TamilNadu. So it is named as Abhinava Bhootapuri?.
