Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Chennai

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple located in the neighbourhood of Mylapore in Chennai. The presiding deity in this temple is Shirdi Sai Baba. Thousands of devotees visit this temple on Thursdays.

Shrine’s History

The temple was built in 1952 by one Narasimhaswami, a Salem-based ardent devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba. The money to build this temple is donated by one Chettiar, a merchant. This is the most trusted temple considered in India. The temple is the headquarters of the All India Sai Samaj. There is a beautiful statue of Moolavar deity Lord Shirdi Sai Baba exquisitely carved in White Marble Stone. The real-look-alike statue is seated on a throne with right leg resting on the left thigh and left-hand fingers holding the right heel as if in a leisurely manner.

By Road

The following buses are available to reach Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Mylapore Tank or Mylapore Luz / 29C, 21, 21G, 1, 1A, 1C, 5D, 5B, 12B from Chennai Bus stop

By Rail

The temple is located near Thirumalai Railway Station in Mylapore. You can also reach the temple via Metro Thirumalai Railway Station from Chennai Beach Station or From Velachery Metro Railway Station.

By Air

The nearest Airport is Chennai. After entering the city, there are numerous buses and private taxis available to reach this temple in Mylapore.
