Panduranga Swamy Temple Machilipatnam

Panduranga Swamy Temple is located at Machilipatnam in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. Lord Krishna is the presiding deity in the divine form of Sri Panduranga Swamy.

Shrine’s History

This temple was built by Sri Bhakta Narsimham in 1929 covering an area of 6 six acres. The main entrance is in the west and sanctum sanctorum of the Lord faces east. Devotees are allowed to touch the feet of the main deity. The idol of the main deity is in the standing posture which is replica to the deity of Padaripur Temple. In front of the main temple, there is a big hall for darshanas and bhajans. The temple has 3 sides covered a prakaram on which several bays are built that contain the images of Lord Panduranga Swamy. Lord Abhayanhaneya Swamy is installed in front of the main garbhalaya. There are separate shrines of Radha, Rukmini and Satyabhama who are the consorts of Lord Krishna.

Events Celebrated at This Shrine

Devotees visit the temple in huge numbers in Karthika month. Vaikunta Ekadasi is also celebrated every year.
