Venkateswara Temple of Vykuntapuram is a vaishnavite temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. It is situated in Vykuntapuram of Tenali in Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The temple is known with an official name as Sri Lakshmi Padmavathi Sametha Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Vykuntapuram.

The founder of this temple is Sri Tulluru Bala Narasimha Rao Gowda, son of Subba Rayudu, is a resident of tenali Town One day, in a dream in which he has received a message from Swamy Nagaraju with directions that he should immediately take steps for the construction of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in a place located to the Southern side of Repalle to Guntur railway line and on the side of the Nizampatnam Canal. the place indicated by Swamy Nagaraju; is sufficiently wide having adequate space for future developments

The Swamy Nagaraju also resides in a corner of that locality On hearing this message Sri Tulluru Bala Narasimha Rao Gowda is thrilled and after a pause he has taken a strong decision to dedicate that are where Swamy Nagaraju resides for the construction of a beautiful temple and he has relinquished all his rights over that land. Afterwards, he has taken pains to collect donations from some prominent philanthropic-minded donors and he also contributed his own share of money and utilised the same for the construction of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at the place which is known as Vykuntapuram. Though the locality has been developed in the year 1961, the actual installation of the idol has taken place only during June 1972 by constructing a grand Ceremony in accordance with Vykhanasa Agam.

The Agama Pandits who participated in that functions are Sriman Rompicharla Srinivasa Charyulu Varu, Krapa Village, Guntur District Sriman Vedantham Srinivasa Charyulu of Poranki, Krishna District and by their disciples The above two Vykhanasa Agama Acharyas are very proficient in conducting the installation Ceremony in tune with, Sri Vykhanasa Agama Kalpa Sutra The temple has been taken over by the Endowments Department during the year 1973. The temple has been developing day by day and the devotee public who visit this temple are increasing every year and consequently, the annual income of the temple also is ever increasing There is a brilliant scope for developing this temple with the offerings and kanukas flowing from the worshippers. Many facilities have been provided to the devotees who visit this temple every day during the last 30 years, the construction of Kalyana Mandapams and a number of rooms for this stay of pilgrims in the premises of the temple for performing marriages and other Subhakaryams etc

The temple has been granted with only an extent of Acs.0.50 cts of Wet land. It is entirely depending upon the offerings received from the devotees The temple is growing from strength to strength gradually and already so many imposing and attractive constructions are going on for providing a required amenities for the benefit of the pilgrims This is a temple which is developing at a speedily and has bright prospects to grow and flourish This temple situated at Tenali, Vykuntapuram is a living symbol of our Glorious Indian Culture and Civilisation
